This faculty created in 1997, recently has continued to increase its quantitative and qualitative potential that was expressed, first of all, in development of contractual relations with general educational institutions, in increase in number of members of « Samara university » association , and in a greater variety of forms of professional orientation work.

The most effective form became profile biennial classes (10 and 11 classes). Very good results give distance specialized profile schools. Their number has increased up to six: school of the young chemist, Sunday mathematical school, school of psychological knowledge, school of the young historian, school of the young sociologist, school of the young philologist.There are preparatory courses, and not only in Samara, but also such traditional form developed in Tolyatti and Syzran also.

For five years 28 titles of educational, methodical and normative manuals have been published for entrants.
